ABOUT US
The Catholic Club Chittagong is a Social Club that came into existence in the year 1918 by the concerted effort of the Clergy of The Chattogram Catholic Diocese and certain founding Members of the Catholic Community of Chattogram.
The Club is situated on a piece of land in the vicinity of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Cathedral. The Founding Members intended the Club to be a place where the people of the Catholic Community residing in Chattogram could meet one another and engage in fruitful endeavors, thus promoting camaraderie and fraternity amongst members of the society. In this spirit the Club became a place where likeminded people of the community got together and engaged in activities like tennis, badminton, social balls and such events of a similar nature.
The motto of The Catholic Club was and still is “Unity is strength”. With this noble intention ingrained into the very ethos of the Club community as a whole, the Club began its journey from humble beginnings to where it is at present.
Throughout the past century the Club has had a metamorphosis and evolved into an institution that fosters fraternal sentiments among its adherents and caters to society with a spirit of positivity as well as shining as a beacon of goodwill
Presently the Club caters to an array of activities and services dedicated to the overall entertainment of our valued Members as well as engage in various social outreach events, whilst making it a mainstay to forge ahead in tandem with the Chattogram Catholic Archdiocese.

Sections & Amenities:
Fully equipped dedicated games sections, fully furnished Billiards, Snooker and Pool Room, functioning canteen, movie theatre, lobby, spacious hall for holding seminars, meetings and / or conventions on a limited scale and also a Community Center for events on a larger scale. Efforts are currently underway to enhance and include more sections for the overall benefit and entertainment of Members.
Events:
Christmas & New Year Balls, Member’s Night, Annual Dinner, Fun & Frolic for Kids (including children of the convent orphanage and underprivileged children, Teenagers Social, Bingo. Annual Sports, Family Get-togethers, Whist Drive, Movie Shows, Religious Functions & Seminars (in line with the Diocese), First Holy Communion Breakfast, Memorial Services for deceased Members, Annual Picnic, Easter Egg Hunt, Easter Fiesta, Pohela Boishak Family Get-together, Cultural Programs, Valentines Ball, May Queen Ball, National & International Sporting Events, Extra-ordinary General Meetings (as per requirements), Annual General Meeting (once a year) etc.
Our range of events spans the whole gamut of entertainment requirements of our esteemed Members whilst being tempered with our commitment to society. This is amply reflected in our various social outreach events where we strive to forge ahead hand in hand with the Catholic Church.
